Orient Star M45 F7 Small Second Men Automatic Limited Edition

Orient Star has launched a new 75th anniversary M45 F7 Small Second model limited to 500 pieces, from the Classic Collection M45. The Classic Collection M45 features classical designs inspired by the Pleiades star cluster, or “Subaru” in Japan, reflecting the idea of time’s eternal flow. The new models feature the simplest dials and most compact cases in the collection, making them ideal for any occasion from business to casual. 

The dual-layered dial is composed simply of hour and minute hands, power reserve indicator and small seconds, with no calendar display. The dial, with leaf-shaped hour and minute hands, delicate Roman numerals and railway-track minute scale, features a matte texture created through sandblast and sunburst finishes. In contrast, the brand’s iconic power reserve indicator features a simple sandblast finish that achieves visual uniformity and distinctness. The small second subdial at 6 o’clock adorned with a detailed circumferential pattern gives the dial a sense of depth. The 75th anniversary limited-edition model features a combination of fine granular texture and matte finishing on the grey dial conjuring the image of stardust, or a scene of stars gently twinkling in the night sky.

The dual-curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective SAR-coating on both sides of the glass provides a 99% transmittance rate, ensuring that every facet of the dials on the 75th anniversary limited-edition and regular models can be seen clearly.

The high-quality stainless steel (SUS316L) case has a diameter of 39 mm and a thickness of 11.7 mm for ease of wear. The compact size fits comfortably under shirt or jacket sleeves. The slim case is equipped with an in-house automatic calibre F7H44 with small second and no date display. The high-quality movement offering stable high accuracy of +15 seconds to –5 seconds per day and a power reserve of 50 hours is visible through the sapphire crystal see-through caseback. The 75th anniversary limited-edition model is engraved with the words “Orient Star 75th Anniversary” and serial number on the caseback.
